• NCTC Satellite Program served almost 1,200 students at 14 schools in 2025-26.
• Most workshops meet once a week for 8-10 weeks.
• Most after-school classes host 8-16 students.
• In-school residencies can serve up to 35+ students with 2 Teaching Artists.
• We use a themed-drama curriculum that aligns with CA State standards.
• Our Teaching Artists utilize classroom-tested lesson plans and receive ongoing training.

USING DRAMA AS A TOOL FOR LEARNING…AND FUN!

Each semester, we offer exciting new themed Drama workshops to keep kids engaged and allow for re-enrollment. Examples include Superheroes, Winter Wonderland, Ocean Adventures, Theatre Time Machine and Dragon Quest. See a sample lesson plan here: Superhero Sample Lesson Plan

Our Teaching Artists apply California’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) standards to each workshop. Skills learned include include voice, movement, tableuax, ensemble, storytelling, focus, character, environment, pantomime, improvisation, and stage terms.
