Ryan, a straight, white, yogurt plant worker seeking to buy a plot of land that belonged to his family many decades ago, arrives at the office of mortgage broker Keith, a gay, black man.You wouldn’t expect a play with two guys sitting in a cubicle to be so transformative, but this is. Maybe there is some good left in the world.
CASTING:
KEITH — he/him, black, queer, mid 30s – early 40s; Thoughtful, methodical, and feels deeply. Single father to young foster daughter, Willa; makes every effort to do right by her toward the goal of full adoption.
RYAN — he/him, white, mid 30s – early 40s; Impulsive, strapped, and perfectly ordinary. Single, estranged father to his young daughter; makes every effort to do right by her toward the goal of gaining co-parenting custody.
Pay: $19.20/hr
Rehearsals begin: Sept 15 (weekday evenings, weekends)
Performance run: Oct 17 – Nov 22 (Wed-Thurs 7:30, Fri-Sat 8pm, Sun 2pm)
Poss. holdover thru: Dec 6
